Pinkbike's Tech Editors Pick Their Ideal MTB Geometry Numbers (2026 Edition)
My current enduro bike is very close to Seb's ideal and has been great, but I am interested in trying a higher stack longer chainstay bike closer to Dario's ideal but there are not many options yet. I am sure too long exists but I haven't tried it. On the XC side I have been liking shortening the reach instead of steepening the head angle too much to shorten the wheelbase while still keeping the mechanical trail for straight line stability. I want a shorter wheelbase for tighter slower trails but keep the proportionality. That said I would love to throw a leg of a reya and see if that proves me wrong.

Review: Yeti Goes Long With the Ultra-Adjustable LT
I'm too cheap to buy this so it doesn't matter but no way to lower the bottom bracket with 29" wheels is a miss. It also sounds like too much antisquat/pedal kickback for a big bike. I am interested in trying a bike with longer stays like this but will keep my gg gnarvana until it breaks.

Review: The EXT Vaia USD Fork is Extra Adjustable, But Lacks Consistency
@nightastheold: tell me more about these $1 tacos. They are more like $3-4 per around here.

Upgrading a Walmart Full-Suspension vs. A Stock Steel Hardtail: 2026 Value Field Test
My nephew wanted a real mtb for his 13th birthday and I found a few model year old liv branded giant trace for him from an online shop with real parts for less than $1500 brand new. The inventory glut never fully cleared and a bit of searching can get you a great bike for a neewb. I tend to buy used higher end personally but I can fix anything that goes wrong so that is a different buyer. I do need to figure out how to explain to my 10yo son that the cushy suspension on his new (used) yt 26 will let him go faster than hammering the pedals on his woom 24, but I am waiting for the chairlift to open to make that argument.

The Best Bike Racks of Sea Otter 2026
@Muggsly: I am in Seattle, 1ups and Kuats are stolen so often here there is a facebook group. I thought the ulock around the base was good enough but I was wrong, I would weld a bead on the main pivot nut if I got another one. Rack was stolen overnight in front of my house in a nice neighborhood and I know multiple other people who had them stolen. The recon was cheaper bought used, holds 4 bikes instead of 3, is easier to load and I can open my hatch 3/4 of the way without tilting it out. I have a beefy abus chain for when I need to run into a store with a bike on the back.

The Best Bike Racks of Sea Otter 2026
1ups don't stay attached to cars very well around here. Their security is inadequate at best. I added a ulock to mine and it still got stolen by unbolting the main pivot. Switched to a recon and it has not disappeared and is much faster to load and unload.

The New Giant Stance & Liv Embolden: How Much Bike Does $2,300 Get You in 2026?
this looks great for a grom bike but the XS is a bit bigger than I am looking for my son, they could add a dual 27.5 XXS as a junior bike and it would sell.

Review: 2026 Devinci Spartan - A Canadian-Made Aluminum Beast
That geometry in xl short is almost spot on my gnarvana or a spire so it’s interesting it feels so much bigger. I would be interested in Dario’s take since he has a lot of miles on the spire. Frame looks good as does pricing but I wish you could get Shimano shifting with decent suspension, a deore with a coil and good fork build would be a great value.
