Saalfelden Leogang Prepares to Host Quadruple World Championships in October
I've ridden Leogang, they have the trails already higher up the mountain. the current DH course starts roughly halfway up, certainly the middle lift station. red bull need shorter courses for filming. all that said they could easily route an off piste DH course purely for world & only use short sections of the built bikepark stuff... not sure why they havent done more of that previously.. likely cost related

Video: What's the Deal with Cross-Country Racing? - The Explainer
I vastly prefer the older 80s/90s style of XC racing. no outside support, longer courses & duration, purely as its much more reflective of actual riding cross country in the mountains. kudos to world cup XC racers, the speed they ride & maintain is incredible, but I miss the 2.5hr Tomac/Overend battles.

Hacks, Bodges & DIY Projects From the World Cup Pits
"... provides 4.5cm of travel. The upper half is made of a carbon shaft that is joined to the head from another seatpost then pre-preg carbon fibre strips were wrapped around it to reinforce the join. The weight of the final product was a very XC-friendly 230 grams" does pinkbike have anymore info on this? I imagine a lot of XC racers would love a dropper post like this.

Randoms: It's All In The Details - Pond Beaver 2020
@Barkit: @Barkit: I've owned both. I've seen a few of the AB caps fail with a weird spiral crack, which is likely why they've beefed it up. its fine if correctly torqued. I wince every time I time I need to undo the extralite. even with copious antiseize during installation I still expect the 3mm allen to round off. With both of these using alu threads I'd recommend installation with a bog standard oem cap & steel bolt properly torqued. when the stem bolts are tight, only then replace the oem ahead cap with either the A.Black or Extralite. yes its a faff, but in use, while riding, neither cap has had an issue in over 6years (old version of A.Black)

Fox Announces 34 GRIP 2 Fork & Updated DPX2 Shock - Pond Beaver 2020
@Ajorda: I believe Fox only make 32 up to 100mm travel these days. the 34 step cast is a 120mm fork, think marathon racing or all dayer XC rides. perfect use for the 34 platform
