BK broke his kneecap a couple months back so he had to sit out a few races in the string of a bunch of races before the summer racing break. He raced last week in Les Gets but that was his first race back and didn't qualify. I broke my kneecap 13 months ago and it still hinders my riding a little. Being in a brace to keep my knee stable really deteriorated all the muscles around stability and deep bend strength.

It warms my heart that UCI/WBD thought Enduro was going to suffer without them and a bunch of different groups of people are stepping up and making it better than those sellout motherfuckers could have ever done.

@schihim: There will probably B-tension if we start setting high and low limits.

p.s. I think I'm faceblind. This is the first time I think I've seen a photo of Dario sans glasses. I'm literally shocked at how different I look when I go from glasses to contacts and I had a similar "who's that?" when that Dario-in-a-full-face photo came up.

The photo of Dario with no glasses in the full face helmet has changed forever how I'll see him. He used to be a smart, considerate, connected-to-the-world tall guy with eclectic music taste and way above average shred quotient rocking the halfshell helmet. Now - full-face helment with the mustache in full glory and glasses removed to show his true identity - I know that was just an act and really he's a Crown&Coke-for-breakfast good ol' boy who rides mtb as physical therapy to recover from his regularly-occuring Nascar speedway grandstand impromptu amateur bareknuckle fighting loss. A reverse image search revealed his real name: Derek D. Gearnhardt. I feel so betrayed.

@marshallthewolf: SRAM makes an S100, S200, and S500 which are all "replacements" for the Eagle stuff. S100 is the NX-level requiring that specific HG freehub S200 is the GX-and-above level requiring the XD freehub S500 is the wireless GX-and-above level requiring the XD freehub Are any of those S-series parts usable with components of the Eagle stuff? I have no idea. I bet SRAM's website will say something about that. For me, I'm looking at the Madrone stuff or maybe Shimano going forward to keep my mechanical drivetrain situation happening when I can no longer get SRAM Eagle stuff. This Vivo derailleur seemed pretty cool until I looked at the pricetag. I wonder what the durability will look like not relying on bushings or plastic. My eventual drivetrain changes sort of depend on whether I have a dramatic failure or a smaller consumable/maintenance thing. If I need to replace a cassette or a chain or a chainwheel, I'll stick with the pieces to make Eagle continue to work. If I have to replace the cassette, derailleur, chain, and chainring because the consumables are all at the end of their lifespan and I bashed the derailleur on a rock, then I'll probably just make a whole-system switch into Shimano. I'm not going to T-Type until I get a wicked deal or it comes on a new bike...which I don't plan to purchase for quite a while.
