@k-n-i-x-o-n: But the Epic line has been great bike after great bike. The Scalpel was a proprietary nightmare for so long people moved on to other brands. They can't capture business lost. I honestly don't know why Cannondale continued with MTB. For so many years they so clearly didn't care about the category. I think GT had more compelling products and look what happen to them. I think this is just more bad news for Cannondale as a whole. Sad to see.

Surly Expands Their Trail Bike Lineup With the Sorceress Hardtail
You could've just said $3200 for a Surly and the same sentiment would've gotten through. Q also released a $12000 Salsa gravel bike. They probably know no one is gonna buy them so they ramp up the price for the sale coming in 2 months, then everyone will feel better about the 20% discount for a bike that is 20% over priced.

First Look: The 2026 Cannondale Bad Habit is an 'Enduro-Minded All-Mountain Bike'
If they're trying to use the same parts for the back end of the bike and do so by simply adjusting the pivot locations, is it safe to assume taller riders are going to get a different performance experience than smaller riders? Seems like antiquated thinking in pursuit of cheaper production costs.
