This is real.
I have Speedframe RS with the bola. I chose this helmet after trying on about 20 different helmets. I thought it was great, then I got a super short haircut and the bola drove me nuts. I had to go back to my old Kali Maya until my hair grew back on the sides. I'm not kidding.

These boutique derailleurs are so cool and the engineering that goes into them is probably not something I can comprehend. I'd love one just for the looks.
The reality is that I basically never think about my drive train or the performance of it when I'm riding. I have NX/GX Eagle on one bike and 11 speed Deore on another, and they both just work, consistently. All my mental energy is used navigating the line, managing my body and foot position, trying to not crash, braking at the right times and suffering through the climb. Thinking "oh I wish this shifted 200ms faster" is just never something I think about.

This is hilarious because I have all the same preferences. The only different is cranks. I have a mix of SRAM Dub and Raceface Turbine.
