First Look: The Pirelli XC Racing Hardpack is their Fastest Tire Yet
@Einfach: And same here. I run Scorpion XC H front & rear in the black tech: fast, grippy, super reliable. And my 2.4s blow up to almost dead on 2.4. Looks like those of us who actually OWN Pirelli's have had good experiences with them.

Pirelli Launches Gravity Tires in Collaboration With Cast & Updated XC Tires - Eurobike 2025
@devinkalt: I've never used the Scorpion XC race tires but I run an XC H 2.4 on the rear of my "aggro XC" (or whatever it's called now) bike. Switched from Maxxis Ardent Race/maxxspeed f&r. Absolutely as fast as the Ardent Race but FAR grippier. For the front I run a Hutchinson Kraken so can't say about front wheel performance, but this combo is faster/grippier than the Maxxis ARs.

Revel Bikes Returns Under Original Ownership
So happy to hear this! Been thrashing my Ranger for the past 3+ years and have never had a bigger grin on my face while riding. I bet Canfield is happy, too...royalties a-flowing again! :-)

More Engagement, More Control? Everything You Need To Know About High Engagement Hubs
For those who haven't ridden Onyx (classic) hubs, try them someday. Pricey, yes, but the tradeoff is absolute headache-free performance for years and years, so they end up paying for themselves pretty quickly. Even if the instant engagement isn't needed, buy them for the vault inside of a bomb shelter construction.

There IS no nerd factor in MTBing. To get good at it requires talent, skills, and perseverance, just like any other higher profile sport. As far as the tech side, I can think of far more nerdy things that people lust over that have far fewer returns. Hell, I have a collection of body scars that blows away the average Jack’s beer can collection.
