Wyn Masters Injured After a "Pointless & Completely Avoidable" Near Miss Crash

Sucks that this still happens at the highest level of the sport, but I remember almost crushing a kid on a road gap during practice at an east coast downhill amateur race years ago. I slammed on the brakes right on the takeoff and ended up dropping 6ft. to flat on the road to avoid hitting her. Best case outcome, but it could have been way worse.

I think the point is that some other world cup racers run their bikes incredibly slack... like a 62 degree frame with an angleset to make it even slacker. 63.2 is slack compared to us civilians, but it's probably steeper than many of his competitors.
