First Ride: Specialized Launches New Status 140 and DH 170
this! 455–460 is exactly where I want to be, and there are some weird sized bikes coming out that don't hit this very popular reach number..

First Ride: Spot Mayhem 140 - A Trail Bike With a Titanium Leaf Spring
Ibis finally went away from that cross brace and Spot picked it right back up. In all seriousness, though, I actually think it looks kinda sweet. Would ride.

The Pinkbike Podcast: Why Did Our Bikes Get So Big?
Like every man who's barely over 5'9", I'm 5'10", and I'm of two opinions about the trend towards bigger bikes: for one I like it because I prefer a slightly smaller bike, and most modern mediums fit me perfectly. That said, I feel like a lot of people who used to ride mediums (more like 5'5" to 5'8") are now on bikes that are too big for them. I see a lot of riders in that height bracket, including many women, on bikes that are just simply too big for them. They struggle to jump, move the bike around enough, get enough bike-body separation, properly weight the front, etc. etc. because they should probably be sizing down.
