Aug 17, 2024Forbidden Dreadnought + extras
$1200 GBPFor sale is my Forbidden Dreadnought frame in large.
If you don't know about Forbidden bikes, all I can say is that I bought this bike and then another 2 of them. They are that good! The only reason I am selling this is that I have bought the new Dreadnought. Don't be fooled by the 154mm rear travel, it rides like a 170/180mm bike.
The frame has had Invisiframe applied from new. The wrap was a bit tatty so I have removed it and the frame underneath is almost immaculate. There are a couple of minor chips which I have photographed.
The frame is approximately 2 years old but has only really been ridden for a year of that. The frame has had some new bearings fitted less than 2 months ago. I did not fit a complete bearing kit as it did not need it. I have the remaining bearings from the full kit which I will supply (or can fit if required). The lower guide has had a new roller fitted with one ride on it. The idler will require replacing, these are £35 online. All the original parts are included like seat collar, rear axle, fender, chain guide and bash guard.
The hope headset & bottom bracket are included. The frame has the Ziggy link installed so will be suitable for a mullet set-up.
I'll also include a spare rear swing arm in the really cool deep space 9 colourway. I bought this as a spare because it was going cheap but have never required it.
Please note that the rear shock, seat, and post are not included.
Postage can be arranged, but having had a quick search online, it looks to be around £150 for insured UK postage.
I can probably deliver within a certain distance if fuel money is covered.
I am not interested in any swaps as I already have my ideal bike collection.

$130 GBPFor sale are my Hope Evo crankset in orange.
The cranks are in good condition with a couple of small rub marks. There are no dings or dents. The centre bore has a bit of wear from my axle stand but it is not on the bolt side so doesn't affect the cranks.
They are for a 68/73 bottom bracket and are 175mm long.

Feb 25, 2024Fox DHX2 230 X 60 Rear shock
$350 GBPFor sale is my Fox DHX2 coil shock.
I ran this on my Trek Remedy but was removed before selling it. It is fitted with the hardware that will suit any Remedy from 2019 onwards. This can obviously be removed and you can fit your own hardware to suit your bike.
It is a standard eyelet mount shock but the upper hardware that is fitted makes it a direct replacement for trunnion mount shocks.
It is a 230 x 60mm but this can be adjusted to 65mm by removing an internal spacer.
It is in good condition and is supplied with a 400lb SLS spring.
Paypal is preferred and postage can be arranged.

Feb 23, 2024Fox Float X2 Factory 250x75
$350 GBPFor sale is my Fox Float X2 shock.
I bought this shock new from TF Tuned in 2022 for £760. I rode it on my downhill bike for 10 days in Whistler that year and about 7 days last summer in the Alps so it is still like new condition. I am only selling because I've bought the new Forbidden DH frame and it will not fit.
There is some bad press about the X2s. I have another on my Dreadnought which has just failed. I live near the Fox service centre so popped it over to them and had a chat. Whilst I was there I asked if I needed to return this one for any warranty work. They said it was unnecessary because if it fails it will be repaired free even for a subsequent owner. Now that is a company standing behind their product and you can buy with confidence.
Anyway, back to the shock - It is a 250 x 75 standard eyelet mount. I have all the original packaging, manuals, volume spacers and receipts. I have the mounts from my Commencal but you'll probably want to source your own (unless you have a supreme).
If you are interested in this shock I've also got a frame for sale that will fit it

An Update from Dan Paley After His Huge Crash at Darkfest 2024
@tom666: I have a friend that last year crashed in morzine and busted his shoulder. He was charged for an x-ray. A few years back a different friend busted his shin, he was also charged for an x-ray and stitches. Both injuries were in France and as soon as they mentioned riding bikes they were both told they wouldn't be seen unless they paid. Could just be unscrupulous doctors charging when they shouldn't but that's been my first hand experience. I'd never go anywhere without the correct insurance.
I'm also pretty certain I've read a few different stories regarding airlifting bikers and skiers off mountains and they've had very, very hefty bills, circa £15k+, to pay for when they got home.

@tom666: unfortunately GHIC only covers you for very basic medical care, things like tooth ache, sickness.
Surgery for any kind of accident will cost you, so you should always have suitable insurance and not rely on GHIC.

Jan 7, 2024Commencal Supreme DH V4.4
$775 GBPFor sale is my Commencal Supreme DH V4.4 frame.
It is a 2019/2020 model in Nardo grey/ Chalk colour in great condition with only minor marks due to use. The size is large and it is a 650B model but I ran it as a mullet set up with no issues. The frame is supplied without a shock but I can include one for extra, see below.
It has VHS slapper tape fitted to the chainstay and I have the original chainstay protector. The bearings have had less than 10 days riding on them.
More pictures can be found here https://ibb.co/album/6n7KRk
The frame is in really great condition. There is one small chip in the paint, approximately 5mm round, and that's pretty much it. There are, what look like marks, in the photos but it is just the paint protection film.
The rotor 30mm bottom bracket and chain guide are included.
If required I can include a hardly used Fox X2. I bought the shock new from TF tuned in 2022 for £760. It had 10 days use in Whistler that year and 10 days use in the Alps in 2023 so it is barely broken in. I have all original paperwork and the box. The shock is perfect, no noises or any issues. I will include this for an extra £350 but I wont sell it on it's own until I have sold the frame.
Collection is preferred but I can deliver for fuel money within a reasonable distance. Cash or paypal if fees are covered.
Thanks for looking
Steve
