BMX Pro Corey Walsh Comes Out As One of the First Openly Gay Male Cyclists
@Jasonbourne: yes, why? What do sexual preferences have to do with biking? In polite society sex is not discussed Sex is for procreation What is the basis for homosexuality?

8 XC Racer Set Up Tricks
Yeah.. removing rotor bolts is extreme. But, I think the pros do it to make swapping faster. Centerlock is sweet XC is the best fun for me. But, certainly with nice downhill sections. It all boils down to wheels. S+an's P0dium SRD, VaIors, and Mav1c Cr0ssMaxx Pros on my bikes. All the lightest I could get at the time. The older I get, the lighter I make my bikes. Ti bolts with blue lock everywhere, anything that can be carbon gets it, no remote lock-outs, etc. But, nothing is more noticeable than the rocket ship acceleration of light wheels and tires. Downhill suffers though with the loss of stability. Light wheels actually make climbing fun. And, I ride my hardtail the most I went thru many trial & error tires that I had to return. Maxxi$, C0nti, Sc#walbe all claim weights and widths with little accuracy. Beefier R0ck Raz0rs seem to have the best weight/durability/rolling resistance ratio for all'round XC. Tho they are heavier than I'd like, but still extremely light for how heavy they look and ride. I need the durability for rocky creek gullies and rock gardens. The Aspens were the claimed width on my 29er, but, far narrower on 27.5. I use sub-recommendation 50ml of sealant. It needs to be checked/topped after 2 months. 22lbs fr 24 rear. Drops, but not many long jumps. Tub0lito Tubo MTB spare tube with the T0peak micro rocket carbon on-board mini pump have never let me down. The only heavy part is the dropper. But, I got the lightest on the market

Pinkbike Celebrates International Women's Day
@Peskycoots: @Peskycoots: Can't we all just get along and celebrate Womens' Day for what it is!? A special day where women get to have their inferiority complexes magnified. When do we get International Mens' Day? BlueBike? I am a bit miffed that Santa Cruz created a line of mountain bikes just for girls! When are mens' and womens' racing events going to be combined? We need more transexuals in womens' racing (seriously). How far can we push this? I have brought more girls than guys into mountain biking, just thru social interaction. Not one of the girls were like: "we need a special day for us" Common girls. Stop being all in our faces with your need for attention. Jeez... lighten up

Burning Question: How Do We Get More Women To Work in the Bike Industry?
@fullfacemike: My favorite mountain bike racers from first to 4th are: 1. Tahnee Seagrave; 2. Rachel Atherton; 3. Jolanda Neff; 4. Bernard Kerr. Not just because they are outstanding racers, but also for their attitude. Those girls simply don't have an outwardly social justice agenda. They're not particularly cover girl beautiful... But, they are hot! And, Bernard... His mom did an incredible amount to instill, enable, and nurture his talent. Women are awesome. But that anger infused pic in the above story where all those women are gathered in the tent looks like something from Mad Max. Jeez girls!! gel... smile... ride... hang... be kool... easy on the tats... don't suck all the fun out of everything There are many women in the industry... according to demand. When they excel, women are rewarded. But, when they soap-box... everyone RUNS!!!! Women already have superior rights than men. It is a liability to hire women from their own doing! And, there is nothing so beautiful and rewarding as when babies are born. Women are so beautiful... why do so many of them want to be ugly? Mountain biking and surfing have so many kool people. It's a surfer dude energy kinda thing. Accepting, light hearted, relaxed, supportive, encouraging, life-is-good, "wow dude"... kowabunga! Take a lesson from Carissa Moore and Rachel Atherton. Don't kill the vibe

Burning Question: How Do We Get More Women To Work in the Bike Industry?
@jomacba: I ride with a few girls. It's all kool. But, it seems like the more women start running things (not just in biking), the more political things get. Always complaining. The natural easy-going fun is lost. Gotta always be on guard
