Tallboy's most appealing and unique approach was VPP with very short travel, now they took out the only thing from this bike that I really loved. Not like Santa Cruz would care, but I believe I should not be the only one in the planet who considered Tallboy sexy only because of VPP and Short travel combo.

Congrats for Shimano for developing a new cable actuated 7 speed rear derailleur in 13 years for 2026, while Sram rolled out some industry changing innovations every 2-3 years.

I myself and many friends had tibial plateau fracture and it heals like it wass nothing, I know there could be different grades of it but a normal stable fracture heals even without a cast sometimes.

So now on a Specialized bike you find a prototype frame since 2022, unreleased electronic suspension, unreleased brakes. So other than the sram 7 speed drivetrain and DT wheels nothing they use is available for the public. aren't there rules for these in UCI that you can only compete with what is publicly available too? Or only for Road and XC, not for DH? By the way happy to see new joiners of the industry, especially such big names as Brembo.

@ejshows: Then spend 3K more. What in this is so complicated? If I want to compete with the TOP LEVEL equipment I am paying more in Skiis, Jetskis, Motorbikes, bicycles. Even in Road bikes, if you want to have the biggest advantage in aero, you go for aero cockpits, more expensive aero helmets, more expensive aero wheels. Would you also complain why 3d printed aero bars for TT bikes are so fking expensive? Go with the cheaper one if that fits you. Ya'all like to brag about Specialized no matter what they do. In the past when SW Levo offered the same battery and same motor and same electrical system as a 6.000 USD comp carbon model, ya'll were bragging about what a fking stupid decision it is to buy an SW, instead buying a cheap one and tuning it with Factory suspension, good brakes and drivetrain. Everyone is complaining that SW is the stupidest idea, because literally you can build it cheaper for yourself. Which was not untrue TBH! Now they separated SW, now this is the issue. PB readers are anything but coherent.

@ejshows: On the first place, how do we know everyone needs S-Works power? 101 Nm is already an increase from Gen 3, maybe for some people it will be enough. Secondly, most of the people in comments seems to be so pissed off that one bike offers more power than other that it iss ridiculous. Like it should be a LAW that only spec can be changed across price levels, nothing else. There are bikes out there, where with the same frame you can have more or less travel on different specs, is it also a crime from bike brands? Isn't it disturbing thaat Propain Spindrift with the same frame can come with 200mm suspension in park spec or 180 mm in enduro spec? I see absolutely no sense on raging on specialized because they offer options in power, just like brands offer options in front or rear suspension, or rotor sizes acrosss models.
