Pinkbike Poll: What Made You Stop Caring About Enduro?
Just accept that Enduro shouldn't be professional. Enduro sucks to watch, but super fun to do. Enduro should be all the local races around the world that riders practice riding bikes on. Decide if you like pushing the pedals at max effort for as long as you can or like slaying downhill more, and hone those skills to become either an XC or downhill pro racer. Or both if you are super cool. There's no need for professional Enduro, it's stuck in the middle between two fun extremes.

First Ride: A Lot Has Changed About The New Revel Ranger
@p1nkbike: While you are correct that the two bikes (Spur v2 and Hightower v2) are very similar, they are in completely different categories and that's the big change that happened recently. The Spur will be many pounds lighter than your old hightower v2, and 120/130mm travel vs 145/150mm is a pretty different feel/setup. Downcountry/trail bikes today (which started around the time of the OG Spur in 2020) have geo of enduro bikes of that same 2020 time period, and that's why they are so capable/fun downhill while giving up very little on the ups. My Spur v1 was wild, it had very similar geo to my Santa Cruz Megatower v1, so it was really fun and easy to swap bikes, but the Spur was much, much faster on everything but the gnarliest downhills.

Wyn Masters Injured After a "Pointless & Completely Avoidable" Near Miss Crash
@juanargent: And Wyn himself said it was... I'm inclined to believe him. It doesn't really matter either way, regardless of who caused it, it falls on the race organizers, UCI, and WB for allowing a dangerous feature, not the riders. Tho there is likely some constructive conversation to be had as to whether or not a hardtail, or any non "WC appropriate bike" should be allowed on course.

Wyn Masters Injured After a "Pointless & Completely Avoidable" Near Miss Crash
@juanargent: Welp nevermind, it was hardtail guy. I just watched WynTV. From Wyn: "Hardtail guy caused the guy who was on the landing to stop, leading to Wyn's Crash" So it was hardtail guy unfortunately.

Wyn Masters Injured After a "Pointless & Completely Avoidable" Near Miss Crash
@juanargent: I was wondering if it was him or not. Frameworks comment on Wyn's IG made it sounds like it was. I guess it was just a separate general complaint.

Why I’m Not Panicking About 1,500W E-Bikes (Yet)
@p1nkbike: The problem is you can't look at a bike and say is that bike Class 1, 3, or motorcycle. You can look at a bike and say does it have a motor? That's why I advocate for motor = motorized vehicle and no motor = bicycle.

Review: The New Transition Spur is Lightly Revised and Still Just as Fun
@bluefire: Interesting, you're right they do look darker. Maybe lighting. Maybe that's Maxxis new OEM "color".

Review: The New Transition Spur is Lightly Revised and Still Just as Fun
@krystianj: Agreed, that is wildly light. Must be a smaller frame. My size L Spur with every weight savings measure taken within reason is 25.2lb. Though that's still keeping it reliable and not going with stupid light tires for the sake of weight.
