Cypress Mountain Announces Bike Park Return for Summer 2027
@the-forfather: that hasn’t been my experience. Lol. I dislike paying for parking and I dislike waiting for the tram. I imagine Cypress will be better. No pay parking and no waiting for a tram.

@TwoSixTakeover: the gondola would be ok. They make you wait for that old tram though. Takes forever. If didn’t treat mountain bikers like second class citizens and let them ride the gondola, I’m sure more people would go. Waiting around all day for that old tram is ridiculous

Still pretty great. If you’re going for the trade show, ya pretty quiet. If you’re going for the the events, the riding, having fun with your friends, it’s still awesome. The Canadian Open was amazing. Mini WC preview. It’s all free. Not sure what’s bad about that.

Honest question because I don’t know the trails around there but isn’t 2mins really short for a DH track? Pretty high caliber of riders on such a short track

💯 agree. UCI destroyed it. Making all the races in Europe also destroyed it. The EWS was so relatable to the common mountain biker. It really was the golden age and I’m so happy I got to see and do a few of them. So many cool memories. So many cool teams. Sam Hill’s second coming. Man EWS was the greatest.

Commencal Shares Details on the Updated Supreme DH V5.2 Downhill Frame
I just bought the new Norco Torrent last week for $5700CAD complete. After back to back laps in the Whistler bike park trading off between the torrent and the supreme DH I can safely tell you that you would be doing your bank account a disservice buying a super fancy DH bike. The Norco absolutely rips, the bike is silent, and the base mavens and new rockshox boxxer base punch well above their price. They are going to sell a ton of those torrents.
