We have been filming a documentary on the growth of mountain biking in Ireland for a year long college project. Every weekend we go out to the mountains to film mountain bikers on the trails around the country. This one weekend we happened to bump into a guy I went to school with out on the trails who I hadn't seen in years. We got talking about the documentary we were filming and decided that we should meet up some weekend and do some filming. So we got in contact and were discussing some ideas when he mentioned that he usually goes biking with four other friends and we should do a segment with the five of them. We thought about this and thought it would be great as it would show the less serious, light hearted side of mountain biking. And the idea for the video was that... a bunch of friends out having fun riding trails. So we set a location and went from there. We hadn't met the other guys before, but they were clearly all good friends as the messing started the minute they arrived in the car park. We thought the best way to capture this side was to have them ride in trains as well as keep the weekend as light hearted as possible, which was no problem with these guys. It was a really great weekend and I hope the video reflects the fun we had making it.

again , thanks in advance !!
as for XC you wont get the quality all day epics you get in the Alps but there's a lot of small spins around and if you dont mind a bit of road they can be linked up to good all day spins. especially in the Kerry/West Cork area, also the Ballyhoura trail centre is close enough (usually within 2 hours drive) but if your used to alpine riding Ballyhoura will be very meh. although there is a lof of natural singletrack up there as well.
and as mugen said be prepared to ride in a lot of mud and get good at cleaning bikes
Hope we get to see your docu when it's done too.
Loved the crashes/ laughs instead of crashes/ hospital we usually see.
oh and
riders seems not too bad :-)
