How to Get Your Kids Into Mountain Biking
I kinda rushed my original comment: the main reason I would recommend the Abus is that it is extremely low weight, so a 3-6 year old will be able to have it on for an hour. There are others that will offer more protection and probably will be needed as your kids get heavier and faster, but don't underestimate the weight of the helmet.

Obviously it isn't a real full face, but for a light kid going slow enough it will protect them a lot more than a standard helmet. Kids fall a lot.
