Transition Scout Carbon Midnight Blue - L

$2500 USD
Large Transition Scout Carbon, Midnight Blue. Great condition! A few small chips here and there as you might expect from riding a bike on trails - touched up in a few spots with Transition's factory paint (which comes with the bike for any new chips down the road). This is an awesome Build (comes in at less than 32 lbs with coil on both ends). -Fox 36 Performance Elite Fork with Grip 2 Damper (because black stantions just look better than Kashima and work just as good); Push ACS3 Coil Conversion -Fox DHX2 Coil Shock with 425lb sls spring, but I can also include a 400 or 450 sls springs if you want. The bike will also ship with the stock Float X2, but that needs some compression damper service. Still, two shocks to swap out when one is getting serviced or just because you want to bounce between coil and air. -Wheels are DT Swiss 350 hubs with Light Bicycle carbon rims; Vittoria Mazza tires with a lot of miles left (but whoever buys the bike will also get two brand new unmounted Mazza tires.) -Shimano 11sp drivetrain with XTR shifter, new XT derailleur, new chain, and new E-Thirteen cassette -Shimano Saint brakes - just bled with brand new pads. 180mm rotors in great shape. -Bike Yoke Revive dropper (160mm) -Praxis Girder carbon cranks in decent condition (some wear in the clearcoat). Bottom bracket spins smooth- not many miles on the bike since it was last replaced. -Crank Bros Stamp 7 pedals (lightly used) -Chris King headset -Renthal bars and stem -Ergon GD1 grips This is a great bike! I just don't ride it much anymore. Reasonable offers considered

Kona Bicycles' Parent Company Appoints New CFO, Intends to Sell Brand
Yeah it definitely sucks. And unfortunately it’s not just limited to the bike industry. Rather, it’s a broad distortion of what is a reasonable expectation for profit margins from what has developed over the decades with tech, which has always been incredibly high and easily scalable. Businesses/investors now just expect the same sky high profit margins in every industry, even though quality tangible products never had, and never will have, the same scalability as software. I certainly don’t blame the business owners who want to cash out after pouring their energy into establishing a rad brand through devotion and love for the product. However, once an original owner sells I will absolutely not patronize a private equity owned brand if I have the option. In my mind, there is not a single product or brand that has ever been improved by the sale to a private equity/investor group. Without exception, such developments always end up with a shittier product.

Fox sls 375lb 2.9in/74mm

$75 USD
Used for just a few rides before realizing it was just too soft for me. The only trade I’d consider is the same spring in 425lb.

Fox DHX2 8.5x2.5 (216x63)

$350 USD
Great shock. I just no longer have a bike it fits. Great condition. Serviced at the end of last summer and maybe has 30 hours on it since. $20 more if I’m shipping it. I also have a 375lb sls spring for it for another $50 if you want it. I’ll ship both for $400.
