Jun 29, 2026Bird Aeris 9 Frameset
$900 USDUnique frameset from UK company Bird Cycleworks. I've never actually seen another in the wild stateside.
2nd owner. First owner only had it briefly before selling to me.
Size is Medium-Long which fits basically like a typical size Large frame. I’m 6ft for reference.
This frame will come with an additional linkage that allows it to be run as a 180mm rear travel while maintaining certain geo.
Can be run as 160/160, 170/160, 180/160, or 180/180. I've run it with a mullet set up and an angle set as well, though this is not officially recommended by the the brand. Pictured is the "freeride" configuration I built up for 5 days in Whistler last summer which was the last time it was ridden. Also a couple pics from the previous owner. Note again though, that this sale is for the frameset only.
The frame has had a tailored RideWrap since day one, so over all the black gloss paint is in great condition for being 4 years old.
Internal or external cable routing, UDH, and adjustable chainstay length.
Its kind of a swiss army bike!
I mostly rode this as a backup bike over the years when my main bike was down for maintenance. Realistically it has about 6-8mo of "primary use" time on it.
Frame will come with rear axle, seat collar, and the extra linkage mentioned above.
Will come with a Fox Float X2 (I believe a 2023 ) that is functional and non-leaking but is in need of a full service.
Make an offer!

First Look: The Zink Zader Downhill & Park Bike
Curious... does the shock being mounted in the orientation shown in the first photo put less stress on the shock than the "traditional" piggyback-forward orientation ?

Field Test: 2025 Santa Cruz Bronson - It's Not Really a Trail Bike
@alexsin: I honestly don't know. I would guess just shaped slightly different. I heard it mentioned in a couple youtube reviews I watched prior to picking up the MTV2. Cascade just released a link for the MTV2 that allows for increased travel, but not a mullet option. They hinted that a NV6 link was forthcoming, and that if I could get the corresponding rear triangle, I'd be all set to run my MTV2 as a mullet. Sadly it seems that Santa Cruz doesn't sell rear triangles unless its part of a warranty claim, so you're left looking to the aftermarket. Obviously the paint wouldn't match either, but that's not necessarily a deal breaker.

They don't have the same rear triangle. Just the front triangle.
I was speaking last week with Cascade Components about this.

$2100 USDIf the ad is up and not marked as "Sold", then the bike is still available.
Purchased new in August 2024. It's been ridden 3 times.
Bought this with grand intentions of pedaling more this summer, but bike park is just too much fun, so this thing has just been sitting indoors.
In absolutely excellent condition.
I got a small discount from Canyon for a factory paint defect on the downtube. See last picture.
Upgraded contact points: WTB Volt Saddle, Stamp 1 Gen 2 peddles, DMR Deathgrips.
31.8 lbs as pictured.
$2100 covers bike, fees and shipping. Will sweeten the deal for local pickups.
Willing to sell as a frameset only if you're interested in that.
