Pinkbike Poll: What's the Most You'd Spend on a Mountain Bike?
I bought my Intense Primer Expert rider direct for $4000 and it was the best equipped 29er that I could find in that price range. I would think hard before spending that much again though.

Revisiting the Birthplace of Shimano
I had two 10 speed deore XT cassettes break within 6 months. The aluminum carrier would snap the arms off allowing the cogs to spin. I switched to SLX after that. I've run SPD pedals as long as they've been in existence, probably my favorite Shimano product. Overall great stuff at a competitive price.

Ask Pinkbike: Riding At High Altitude, Geeking Out On Race Results, and Replacing Rotors
I've went through 3 rotors in a couple of months. I had a bad caliper that caused it. I normally go through one on the rear about every year and a half. I won't take chances with ice tech rotors.

Carbon vs Aluminum: Separating Environmental Fact From Fiction in the Frame Materials Debate
I would much rather have Titanium, a material that actually will last a lifetime. It's a shame that more builders don't use it. Price and weight are comparable to titanium and the life cycle is 100 times that of carbon.

Wilderness Bill Clears First Hurdle in Congress
It's obvious that IMBA does not care whatsoever about the average mountain biker. They seem to only have their best interests at heart.
