Pinkbike Poll: Would You Over-Fork or Under-Fork?
@Mac1987: sounds like poor communication from the shop that fixed it. That’s a bummer.
I definitely wasn’t pushing my bike all that hard at the time, and I only weigh like 175lb. While it was my only bike and I did everything on it including park riding, it was still an xc hardtail, and I got around the lack of mid stroke by just running it a little firmer and upping the compression damping. Worked great for me

Pinkbike Poll: Would You Over-Fork or Under-Fork?
I’ve got a cane creek helm and it’s the same deal. Spacers are set to 140mm travel, but I can push the button on the bottom and use the negative spring to set travel wherever. It’s kinda sick honestly, super fun playing with the travel without any tools or drawbacks in ride quality

Pinkbike Poll: Would You Over-Fork or Under-Fork?
@Mac1987: honestly I had a Talas 5 that absolutely rocked. I know they were poorly reviewed, but mine was great! 90-120mm was awesome on an xc hardtail. Granted that was a decade ago, so maybe my expectations were different… not sure if I’d love it now lol

Pinkbike Poll: Would You Over-Fork or Under-Fork?
Don’t rip your head tube off! 30mm is a lot to overfork by lol.
I’ve also got a modified Scout! I made mine a mullet with a cascade link, so now it’s 140/140. Technically it’s “overforked” due to the longer axle to crown, even though it’s got 10mm less fork travel. Absolutely love that bike, no notes. Doing something similar to my wife’s bike as we speak.

Pinkbike Poll: Would You Over-Fork or Under-Fork?
There should be an option for changing fork travel to accommodate a mullet setup! I have an 2019 Transition Scout. Came as a 27.5 150/130 travel bike; now it’s a mullet with 140/140 travel. I changed to a shorter fork to accommodate a 29er front wheel and a cascade link in the rear.

Review: Leatt's $319 USD CeraMag All-Mtn 8.0 Ti Flat Pedals
If I’m spending that much on pedals, I’m getting the Outlier Pendulum. It’s lighter, innovative, and doesn’t have any weird caveats or limits since they use regular materials. I’m into exotic stuff but this ain’t it for me

@fabwizard: $85 is low key not too bad, I paid more for my aluminum Chromag pedals. These look unironically pretty cool!

Review: Fox Podium Fork - Heavy, Expensive, Upside-Down, & Excellent
@speedfreek: I’ve got one of those X-Fusion Revel forks! It’s pretty good, gonna use it on my next bike build. It needs a little tuning to really come alive, gonna mess with the air spring and damper and negative coil, but it’s well made and behaves like a high-end fork when it’s dialed.
