Does the future have fewer gears? - Further experiments - Part 2
Maybe it would be better off to start modifying a 11-42 casette in that case.
As far as I rember the rivets for the 2nd biggest cog are hidden by the 3rd biggest cog. Despite lightness I like to have the 45T biggest cog as my bailout option.

After about a season of riding I can not see any bending.
(I am 82 kg)
Best option to get a used one for a couple of bucks, and get experimenting.
