Review: 6 of the Best Tire Inserts Ridden & Rated
Hi Paul, for the video all tyres were ran at 23PSI. In the write up the pressures varied a lot as I found the right balance. Hope that clarifies it. Cheers.

Review: 6 of the Best Tire Inserts Ridden & Rated
Hello there. Well, that was a consideration. I actually spoke to a few different insert brands about their suggestion. I think If we just keep adding weight, both in terms of tires and inserts, then we're going to get to a place where it's absolute bomb-proof but that might not be telling us anything. I felt it was more relevant to include a tyre that perhaps you could only run in conjunction with inserts. The lighter tyres also accentuated the different feels of the inserts which definitely made my job easy so, hey, I ain't complaining. The trails definitely leant on the more natural side of things, however, there were some man made turns towards the end of the test track that really rewarded you if you hit them hard. In regards to the climbs, the sheer low pressures meant I was scrambling up things I perhaps had no right to but apart from that nothing major springs to mind. Cheers.

Opinion: The Hot Chip Has Gone Cold - Flip Chips Don't Deliver
Oh completely. I think the whole package and service they offer is fantastic and they're a brand I really admire. However, even the idea of having a geometry that happily sets itself apart, or indeed the customer helping to choose their own geometry, could be a little intimidating to some I would imagine. It's not too dissimilar to music or fashion - an alternative band or designer makes something extreme and experimental but the public at large won't really take it up until its elements are broken down a bit and sung on Radio 1 or available in GAP. In my opinion, anyway.

I treat my needlessly strong opinions about small questions of design like my children and I love them all equally.

Pinkbike's State of the Sport Full Release
Hi @maglor. It's a bit of a confusing one but there are a few factors to consider. Firstly, please remember to consider both genders and that we also asked juniors, and three of those disciplines have their own junior overall series. Secondly, we also asked athletes who finished in the top fourty overall in either of the last two seasons because of the pandemic. That means that may or may not have competed in last years overall due to covid-19. I think it's possible that people answered from their last full complete season, albeit in 2019, and that could give us this large number. Hope that helps.
