Final Results: French Cup DH - Les Orres
He was standing on a world cup podium last year, fort bill round 2 he came in 4th. That said, I also think he might be standing on a world Cup podium this year, but given the number of races we are likely to see( could be zero), I would not bet on it.

Cane Creek Releases Longer Travel Version of the Thudbuster Suspension Seatpost
Actually it's excellent for any kind of touring, where reliability and comfort trumps everything else. It's also much quieter than a sprung Brooks saddle. The ability to stay seated over rough road surface is handy. After about two weeks of riding 120k a day my bum is definitely less comfortable. I felt silly on many occasions for not having one on my touring- commuting bike!

The Matchup: 2020 Norco Optic or Sight? - Trail Bike vs All-Mountain Bike
@BobbyHillbomb: they are actually getting paid directly for this, seems fair to expect that they would do the job better. Pink bike audience probably did not learn much at all from the vid. I'm not one to bitch about free content properly identified, I just wanted to say that the opposite argument to yours seems valid as well. Cheers!

First Ride: Privateer 161 - An Affordable-ish Race Ready Machine
A few summers ago I pedaled my 70 pound touring bike for 8000 k. Was totally fine. Whilst this might seem unrelated, I think that it's worth reflecting on. If you want to get to the top first you can't have burly tires. Frame weight is not as much of an issue. For me I know that bike weight in this range is ok, but if the bike does not pop when I want it to, it's a no go. A bike can be heavy and nimble. And a bike with sorted suspension will plow when you want and fly when you want. I think it makes sense that a park worthy bike, no matter the amount of travel will weigh about the same as a dh rig.

Ask Pinkbike: Carbon vs. Aluminum Rims, Mismatched Drivetains, Coil Shock Sag, & How Much Travel Does a Beginner Need?
Actually, just ride a BMX and nothing else for a good ten years, that will make you an even better rider! Just kidding, go out in the forest and have fun! Life is not all about performance, and.for most people, a variety of experiences is good to figure out what they like. Like waki suggested, maybe switch it up if you like. Variety is the spice of life!

Video: A Cutty Masterclass with Joe Barnes
Good point, but sliding on ice you don't get to change direction, the bike just gets sideways, like a skid. The cool thing here is that he is really turning, unlike typical cutties where the bike slaloms but.the body more or less travels in a straight line( kinda cool but a bit useless, like wheelies) this a cool.skill, In between pumping flat turns and drifting and endo turn! Always good vibes with Barnes.

Sheffield's Steel City Downhill Track has Been Vandalised
@guytherev: I don't think that it's fair to compare what happened in Sheffield to secret trail "re-wilding' . We should all know what it implies to invest time in building without the implicit consent of land managers or owners, often illegally. Unfortunately as fun as our trails can be, if we don't work to make them legal, we are not in a position to complain when owners reclaim the land. Just saying. I do ride almost exclusively illegal trails. When trails are booby trapped, that is obviously not cool ( I've broken my hand because of it). I think that keeping communication open even with groups and individuals against MTB is key.
