Brett Rheeder Announces Retirement From Competition
Congratulations Brett, you're the person I'd most like to go for a ride with, ever! Not because you're an amazing rider, but because you come across as a thoughtful, articulate, polite nice guy, you can be funny too in that goofy lovable way, just not afraid of being yourself in a world of bro brah's. Looking forward to seeing what you'll be up to! Thanks for your contributions to MTB.

2022 Pinkbike Awards: Breakout Rider of the Year Winner
Gracey Hemstreet Wins.. a lot of people's hearts over! So many young girls are going to see her racing and get stoked on riding. Awesome. Old farts like me get inspired because she's like a better version of our younger selves! Very deserving of the support she is getting.

Pinkbike Editors' Christmas 2022 Wish Lists: Workshops, XL MX Bikes... & Better Cheese?
Henry, I think you're nostalgic for the good old European subsidies for farmers! A basic Rocquefor is now over 40$ cad per kg at Tesco. Good cheddar around 20 to 25 at the same store. You can get excellent 2 years cheddar for 30/kg at Costco. Of course it's not convenient, but that's what happens I. Squamish. There are also some family owned cheesemakers in Quebec that will answer the phone and send you the goog stuff for 30-35$. Just get some friends ( oh wait, I forgot....) Nevermind, just make a big order when it's not freezing or blistering hot. Of course you'll complain it's inconvenient, and you'll be right. You know, it's not always worth it being right.

The Pinkbike Podcast: Episode 157 - Remy Metailler on Content Creation, Scary Lines, & How to be a Pro Freerider in 2023
You can take the Frenchie out of France, but you just can't take France out of the french. Coming straight from team baguette's head honcho; I smashed my face off because I was thinking of making delicious dinner for my compatriot whilst riding my bicycle down the mountain! On t'aime comme t'est Raymond, mais mon dieu, prends bien soin de toi! On veut pas te voir prendre ta retraite avant looooongtemps!

Review: Aldr Works Pika Hip Pack
@kwl1: sorry , no offense but how about If you think it's expensive, go to your local outdoor coop and buy a Patagonia version for under 35$ They'll repair it, and they invest in well managed environmental projects. It doesn't have to be all or nothing, we don't have to weave the fabric ourselves.

What Geometry Numbers Do the Top Enduro Racers Actually Prefer?
@RonSauce: you can go on Amazon and buy a machinist bubble level that is accurate to 2 seconds. There are 3600 seconds in a degree... A high precision rotary table is about 10 times more precise. None of this is high tech, just precision machining that's been around for more than half a century.
