Hope Releases Super Short High-Stack Stem
I second that. Intend Grace DD is a piece of art. I have been able to fit a 40mm rise bars (Deity CZ 40) with some effort. But yea.. a bit of a pain....

Pro Bike Secrets: World Cup Tech That Works vs. Marginal Gains
@Dougal-SC: Interesting. I thought something was wrong with me for not feeling any difference on 4-5 clicks in either direction on some forks. Why is that? Just a sales/marketting thing to say we have another adjustment, while in reality it barely does anything?

Jessie-May's Day 2 Randoms - Taipei Cycle Show 2026
I got that stem during my short stem experimenation phase. It is pretty rubbish. You are absolutely right, with around 23mm of stack height, it is not enough to clamp well on the steerer. Even with friction paste and tightening the bolts as hard as possible, it slips by simply holding the front wheel with your legs and yanking the bar clockwise or counterclockwise. Doesn't take much force, and your bar is pointing in a completely different direction. So yea... do not try that. If you are keen to explore short stems, there are no cheap options at the minute. Go for eiher Intend Grace DD stem (25mm reach) which is ~250 AUD or Rulezman (15mm reach) which is at least double that price....

Review: Shimano XTR 9220 Brakes - Consistency is Key
@teamsmith: It doesn't impact the seal integrity per say. Being less viscous means it can easily leak around the piston seals which are designed for the higher viscosity oil. On the MTB podcast a few months back, two Shimano engineers spoke about the new products. One of the guys said that the first thing he did when he got the new LV oil was try to use it in the old brakes. It leaked straight away, rotors and pads contaminated, lever straight to the bar.

REEB Cycles Introduces Two New Hardtails for 2026
@jeff-lenosky: Cheers I have a steel Radical Grim Ripper Mk1 and just built the new Radical Grim Ripper Mk2 in Titanium. I love agressive short travel hardtails, (though the rippers are a bit slack for me so I run them with anglesets). But all sorted with hardtails for now. Whenever I make the move to full sus, the SST is on the top of my list!
