First Look: The Rocky Mountain Altitude Powerplay 3 Gets More Power and a New Suspension Layout
@mdeppi: True, true @mdeppi, that time line is unacceptable, and I apologize for that. I would like you though, to consider what the new owners, and we collectively at Rocky, had to overcome to get to the position that we are right now. So much work had to be done behind the scenes to put the warranty processes back in motion: relationships had to be mended, unforeseen financial hurdles to suppliers to overcome, firming up supply-chain channels.....I could talk your ear off about it.
So unfortunately, the timeline of 2+ months for a motor you reference is directly related to the whole turnover of the company and the points I made above - this is not an excuse, only the truth. We are working hard to be the best we can @mdeppi, sure we have work do you, but this is the kind of work I love. I kills me to hear about these warranty stories....things will be different!

@gregnangatang: Just keeping MTB stoke alive @gregnangatang! We ride bikes, we sell bikes, life's not too complicated. My wife is an ER doctor, she witnesses some horrible things on her watch. When things get serious in the MTB ring, I like to say: "hey, who's dying? No-ones dying, relax". It's quite different in other lines of work.

@Bahh: Yeah, well, I simply don't agree with you @Bahh. I have ridden this design since the initial launch of the Powerplay in 2017, and I have never experienced pre-mature wear. You have the right to your own opinion of course, but in this case, the design works perfectly as required. Also, the out-put cog is intended as a wear item, as are the chain sliders you reference

@farkinoath: ahh sorry, my mistake paid-for was you, heritage meant for @shreddr.....but here are a few definitions of heritage after a quick google search that I think apply here:
something that is handed down from the past, as a tradition
something that has been or may be inherited by legal descent or succession
anything that has been transmitted from the past or handed down by tradition
and that refers to the North Shore mountain bike roots of Rocky Mountain.
As for selling the bike to you in my paid-for manner, as I stated before, come join me on a ride on one of these and you may be enlightened, or maybe you won't be......and just like the theseus paradox, it doesn't really matter, just as long as your floating on the sea, or riding on the trails.

Our apologies @Bad-Mechanic, the original launch material had the wrong geo stats. Check out the reply from our Product Director Ken Perras earlier in this thread:
Unfortunately the incorrect geo was shared for this launch. We've resolved the issue and the correct geo is available on the Rocky Mountain website bikes.com/en-ca/collections/altitude-powerplay
The rear center spread is 440-450-450-460 for SM-MD-LG-XL. That leaves the XL with a decent 1.89 ratio for the RC-FC value.
