Eminent Cycles Launches the Haste - First Look
Good luck to them... It's certainly a neat looking bike. It's a shame they had to discard 85 carbon prototypes (if I read right?) to get here though - that seems a tad wasteful given the state of our environment. I'm more drawn towards the brands like Starling that are working with steel, in order to avoid the sea fill.

Pinkbike Poll: Fashion or Function?
Honest feedback from people is good. It seemed to me like there was a lot of jumping on the bandwagon in the first article though... and it got pretty ugly. I think one of the main problems here was the first photo in the article (and we all know that first impression count, right?!) - The lighting wasn't great, and the angle of the shot gave the bike a strange distortion. The tyres don't look as aggressive as they could. All this stuff makes a difference in peoples perception. I'm not saying I'm in love with this bike (I'm quite traditional 'four bar' in my taste) - but I think on second glances here, and here that perhaps all the hate is unnecessary, and certainly unkind to someone who has clearly out their heart and soul into this project. Think before you type people.

Specialized Pitch Pro - Custom

$800 GBP
This is a rebuild project I've been working on which is virtually complete except for brakes and a few bits to be serviced (see detail) I'm just not getting the time to finish it off hence the sale. Bike is a good used condition and has always been maintained and well serviced. It has virtually brand new Rockshox Lyrik forks on and bike is newly resprayed (see full spec below). Just needs brakes of your choice to be added. The following also needs service: Reverb seatpost not working (just needs bleed & service) + gears need a tune. Everything else in perfect working order. NB: This bike was stolen from my shed & recovered shortly after by Police, however the serial number had already been removed. I have a police issued document confirming legal ownership - which will be given to the new owner along with receipt of sale. The Pitch Pro is well known for being virtually indestructible and if you check out the geometry the angles are similar to today's enduro bikes i.e long, low, slack. Full Spec List: Frame: Specialized Pitch Pro (Large) Fork: Rockshox Lyric RCDH 2014 - reduced to 160mm (virtually unused) Shock: Fox RP2 Seatpost: Rockshox Reverb Saddle: Charge Spoon (white) Wheels: Hope hubs (gunmetal) on Mavic Rims Tyres: Continental Baron 2.3 (Brand new) Stem: Spank 50mm Bars: Sunline low rise (Silver) Grips: DMR Cranks: XT Drivetrain: Running 1x10 with Oneup 42T ring, X9 mech, X9 shifter I'm happy to box it up and ship it via courier which is £39 or it can be collected from either Ulverston or Staveley. If you are outside the UK, suggest you get in contact first for a shipping price. Listed elsewhere.

As soon as I spotted the size of the jumps I thought 'Lacondeguy'... Good to see one on the entries list. Be great to have both brothers there + some of the other Fest guys...
