We also learned that organisers need to stream every event...It's the Worlds, the biggest weekend of the year. If Road and Cyclocross can manage it, then MTB should. Only covering Elites is poor.....teams. riders, national bodies should be insisting on it.

@CleanZine: Yeah, Worlds are sold as a package ( Road, Track, MTB, CX) . So BBC/TNT have the rights for the UK.......However, the BBC are only showing the Elite XCO on Sunday.......they've elected not to show the Elite DH today; like last year.

That's because there is nothing to show - local organisers haven't provided a stream for U23/ Juniors. Unlike the Road Worlds which shows the lot, MTB only bothers with the Elites in most years.....

@edspratt: It's the time the teams, riders, national bodies demanded every race is streamed live, like we see for Road Worlds. If organisers can't afford it, then they shouldn't bid to host. In 2026 it's not good enough we get piss poor Worlds coverage......it's not acceptable any more. If Cyclocross can manage it, then MTB surely can......

Yeah, in 2026 all races at Worlds should be live. But the UCI don't demand it - it's down to the organiser, and most only bother with Elites. It wouldn't be tolerated at Road Worlds were all events are shown live........ Once again, MTB is te poor relation.

Local organisers decide cameras, etc It’s happened before. MTB as a sport deserves more……the Road world wouldn’t accept shoddy presentation.
