Pinkbike Primer - Everything You Need to Know Ahead of the Paris Olympics MTB XC
Honestly the track itself really isn't that bad. It'd be a millions times better if they just left it dirt and natural. I just have no idea why they graveled the whole thing. Makes for a worse course and probably was a ton of unnecessary work to do so.

If you were complaining about electronic shifting and running out of battery, at least you don't have to worry about running out of compressed air and bringing extra air canisters on your rides.
Also interesting about it being in the '99 world cup as a prototype. Wonder how many prototypes we see in today's world cups and think are cool now that we'll look back on in the future and think wtf were they thinking.

@motts: ya guess it doesn't hurt to just reach out and see what else they may be able offer. As awesome as the mtb is I'm sure, definitely a lot of other cool stuff to do in the area besides mtb for 6 days. Looked into it quite a bit.

Been eyeing up a trip to Oaxaca for a while now, but honestly these six day all inclusive trips are such a turn off for me. I'm sure they're great for some people who don't want the hassle and are only there to mtb. But I just want to pay for a shuttle up the mountain, hell sure even a guide, for a few times or so and plan all the other stuff myself. Doesn't seem like that alone is a widely offered service. Good for them if they're getting theirs, but definitely don't need to spend $1800+ USD to do that.
