Whistler Announces Plans for 50km of New Downhill Trails
Last summer I flew 8500 km just to ride there for few days. Now I sit here and feel depressed because now I exactly know what Im missing. Love it there. Need to return asap.

I was like 2 metres out of the whole incident, all I wish is cops beat up their skinny asses! Bunch of no-brain primitives. Im really sorry for organisators like Filip Polc, who spent 3 months preparating the entire event, which was live broadcasted all over the world and this happens...! International emarassment.. :(

Actually, Saalbach and Leogang are not that close, its 8,8km distance by air, with 1700m mountain inbetween (according to Google Earth). Maybe only if you feel like some cyclotourism, but in that case Im not sure how much energy will left for you for a rest of the day. Especially Saalbach´s X-Line is really exhaustive - like 6 or 7km long and full of rocks. Imo its better with a car, maybe 30min of drive?
Also, note that Saalbach itself is divided to 2 bikeparks - Saalbach and Hinterglemm. Hinterglemm is like 1km further and contains 2 cable cars, each hill one (same with Saalbach). I spent one day in Saalbach and next time I will go there I plan to spend more time in Hinterglemm, because I managed to get only 1 ride there. Spent too much time & energy on X-Line
