YT Industries Begins Restructuring Under Self-Administration
Hopefully YT will still sell and timely deliver their proprietary batteries for their e-bike models. While I do not consider myself an e-bike convert, I did recently inherit a Decoy Core 4 from my brother, who was able to prolong his riding for a few months despite ALS. And now, that bike has helped me slowly recover from hip and knee replacements, leading to more and better time on my Transition Spire. The battery on the Decoy, however, will no longer take a charge, I’d loathe scrapping what is an otherwise excellent bike for lack of being able to get a replacement battery. And if in my old age and reconstructed joints I decide to go e-MTB full time, I’ll stick to mom-boutique brands with non-proprietary batteries.
