in my honest opinion yes! I broke my back in 1999 in a bike crash - and i didnt ride for 9 years because of the fear and pain - this wouyld have prevented the spinal injury i had happen

depends how much dollar you have - and the basic model isnt less safer than any other model they have - probably for your type of riding - Adventure
