Riding as a way of life

It frustrates me how much things have changed in the last couple of years, almost everyone in my village used to ride whether it was bike trials or cross country. now most of the kids have games consoles and waste their life's on that instead of riding. i think due to the previous weather being unbelievably awful and the kids being stuck inside i am glad to say that they are getting back on their bikes now their consoles are boring them. all those kids are now over-weight or obese. the thing is, what can we do? Nice to see professional riders such as Ryan sending a similar message out Smile might try to get this shown in an assembly in my school?! PLAN tup

Great video! I really liked the facts they presented, and the message itself is a really good one. He talked mostly about health benefits which are the most important, but I’d like to point out that it really helps the environment and saves money. Mother nature provides you with awesome mountains to build trails on, so give back a little by burning less fossil fuels! And you’ll save on gas money!

Thank you for the wondreful video. I loved all the facts as they are known facts but seeing them makes it true. I have been saying for years that mothers need to do their shopping on bikes with carts on the back as the shopping centers are usually 5min by car and 10 on a bike. I love to ride and take my children out 2-3times a week to get the ride into their blood, its very imprortant. And kids love it!!!! here in Japan they dont allow kids to ride to school which is very sad to me as I rode my bike to school almost everyday from 3rd grade up untill collage. Like stated in the video its very healthy and of course fun at the same time! cool bunny hop at the end!!! great vidoe!!!

This made me want to ride my road bike to work every day, for I only live about a mile away from work. Thanks Ryan for the good message and people should really listen to this!!

I used to ride all the time, weighed 158 lbs at my leanest, a ride to whistler from north van was a day's ride. Then i became sedentary with a office job and 12 years and 110 lbs later i started riding again and man i regret not keeping active. Losing weight isn't easy and neither is being the last guy on every climb or ride...i'll get there but it would have been far easier to have kept up even the most modest or riding activity.

The litte paragraph saying about 'in 1964' 50% of kid's rode to school, In the school i was raised up in, I had my bike nicked twice, And the bike hut got burnt down, That dont just apply to my school neither nearly all the other schools too, And the council don't do anything about it so no kid has motavation to ride to school and thats one of the main reasons everyone is fat.

ask a cool teacher if they can unlock a spare classroom for you (and your friends) to keep your bike safe while you're in class.
