The camera is a Go Pro SD and I used a chest mount..Great little camera..and it comes in a HD 1080P version now..

Yes..I would recomend the go pro and I recomend buying the chest mount too.
I think it is the best angle to film yourself riding..for following someone in front of you
on the helmet is better..
