Mine makes a clunk (2010 lyrik dh coil) at the start of compression an when i shake it like you do in this video it sounds like its full of water... any thoughts?

Its normal, it the travel spacer moving around that makes that noise. If you remove it the noise will go away and your fork will be 170mm rather than 160mm. Anyways when the fork is on a bike that noise disappears. You have one of the newer Lyriks (2010 or 2011) right cause the older ones are only 160mm and should not make that noise cause they don't have travel spacers!
