"OK, seriously, this is not "super slowmo". It's twixtor. It's not real. And that just bugs me. It's like drawing the Mona Lisa in crayon and then selling it as authentic or something, it's just wrong. REAL slowmo looks incredible, not like this. Just go on vimeo and search "phantom flex" and you'll see what I'm saying. Think skiing powder where every bit of snow flying out is captured in perfect, smooth slowmo. THAT is art."

Actually, the slowmos here were shot at 240 frames per second on a Sony HDR-XR500V. Matt Gorveatte can attest to that...he shot this video here: www.pinkbike.com/video/95652 on the same camera. Stuff like the shot in this video with the pine cone flipping around cannot be generated by programs like Twixtor, it merely interpolates the existing frames based on automatic or manually input motion vectors. So.

that explains alot, i forgot the sony HDr-xr500v and 550v could shoot at those frame rates, i admittedly was puzzled at why those shots looked better than most my twixtor tests with 60fps footage.
Come on guys this is unacceptable
