Dirt Diggler Fall Classic 2011

Hadn't ridden in a month, then got off the couch, as it were, to ride the 2011 Dirt Diggler race. I hadn't entered a race since 1996 -- the then Alberta Championship held in Rocky Mountain House back in the day (1st in Expert XC, hooray for me). Movin on. The Dirt Diggler Fall Classic is a totally ultra-b!tchin' race. It's deluxe. You ought to do it next year. Note: Unedited footage.

Thanks, Doug. I got 11th place out of 24 men. 13:22 minutes. 1st place was set by local, Fernie nutter Luke Nelson at 11:12 minutes. Fast! I'd like to shave a minute off my time next year; I think I can do it -- however -- I need to be much more conditioned, I need to not crash (no sh!t, hey?), and I need to know the course. There were tons of lines I blew. *Shrug.* No matter, because there were beers at the bottom, which is the important thing.

You were flying Bruce, How'd you do? You should send that vid to GO Pro your camera must have taken at least a dozen good hits and it didn't move.

That's for sure. The part that made me feel like a mouse was the last third -- I thought my heart was going to burst. Probably the only things that kept me going was a) when I'd get to the end the pain would stop, and b) there was beer at the finish.
