Alex follows me into far right line and gets really close to me coming into the second jump, so he avoids it and hits his derailleur right on a log

 Nope he totally bent the cage and messed up his casset it was an X9 too i didnt even notice just kept going

 no i think what happened was when the derailleur bent sideways it damaged the teeth on the casset
