 do you have twistie shifters?

Straight up nifty twisty shifty !!
Yeah SRAM / Grip Shift ESP shifters....I always raced on them because you can go through all of the gears in one shot not 3 at a time like the trigger ones, even though I have some of those scattered about the stable....and there are about 4 parts making up the entire mechanism...less room for failure.... and light.....

 pretty cool

 You've never used them ??

ummmm....................no. I can see though how they can be better than the trigger shifters

Pros and cons like most .....if you are spastic as i sometimes am, and you are holding on to the shifter instead of the grip, you can accidentally shift in bumps or other terrain...... But i feel the pros outweigh the cons....at least for me..... I like both systems really, but if i was going to buy, usually i grab grip shift..... Are your bikes 8,9, or 10 speed rears ???

9 spd. I am going to replace the shifters on my Norco this winter, I have Sram and hate them.

How come you hate them ??? Grip shift might be a cool new thing to try out...affordable as well compared to trigger shifters.

They are clunky and the lever sticks. I have Shimano on my Turner and love them.

They are normally pretty smooth.....perhaps the cable is bound up or some crud inside ??? Do you hose clean your bike ??? That always contributes to the delinquency of a component !!
  • + 1
nope, all is good on the bike, they did that from day 1.

Very odd....they are not easy to get apart.....however i have done. A few of them.....if you'd like to send i can try and get back to normy......

nope, they are coming off and Shimano's are going on. I like them on myTurner and Id rather just change them and know I like them than play around.
