Remember, brake before the turn. That way you carry your momentum thru the turn. Plus, your body will stiffen up while braking making steering slower and harder to control.

Makes sense, thanks man, that bike had cable brakes so they weren't that effective :/

If its downhill, put your seat down a bit and you will feel more confident and go faster
