Balfa Tech for SeaDevil
A quick and very poorly lighted tech chat on the differences and characteristics of 2 famous Balfa suspension frames. The Balfa 2 step and the Bafa BB7.
Hope this helps you visualize the difference since I had two frames down bare, it was easy to show ya. Sorry Not a Hollywood public speaker tonight....new years day... Cheers !

Yes Jeff, the first 2 Step on this vid is the one I been looking at, then I see a nice white BB7 frame powder coated freshly with red decals.....mmmmm both look good. Box section looks beefy, reminds me of the old-school San Andraes, were they called that? The 2 Step looks chunky also....What's your fave to ride....
Great vid, thanks for the technical info also SD.

Thanks !!

So right you are. They are totally different but they both work so well at eating up the bumps and the steeps! To be honest, when I first saw the NR just before the first BB7 came out, It was my first true DH bike love, and when I got that first year BB7 and built it for myself after downhilling on hardtails and an early pro-flex, it was what I knew I wanted to do until my body wouldn't let me do it anymore!
They were indeed made with love and care and passionate craftsmanship....just like the Brooklyn Machine Works bikes. And that is why they still have a place in my stable ! I loathe you pro cycle for what you did to a great great bicycle company ! Viva le Balfa !

exactly!!!!...the first NR in 1998 in chromoly are...just a huge dream machine to have!!!!! but...the most important,a time less machine!!!!!!... THE most beautiful bike i ever see in my entire life....and the first year production of the BB7 as mine (14 year now) are a simple bike whit a lot of potential.....pro cycle kill balfa.....why?....cause BALFA as always been the best, made by the best and lowest production cost...that`s it...that`s all.............................................jgottya1,your welcom to CYCLES BALFA on facebook.....the only one Jerome is there.

Thank you ! The NR's are something I still dream about having....even though I have way too many bikes now..... Yeah PC didn't want the mighty BB7 taking market away from the rocky mountains early RM6 I think, if I remember correctly.... I will check out Jerome.... I am not much into social networking other than this site, as I have my plate way too full !! But thank you!
