Flinders

Just a fun run

It was a cool place. We rode this little stretch on the last day. Only did 3 runs on it before the heat got too much. My last run down nearly ended over the bars.. Haha. Hit a rabbit hole and lost my line and went bush bashing hoping there were no big square rocks hiding behind the bushes.. Scary.. Haha.. Lean back and hold on.. Near our camp was a good mountain ridge with drops all the way down and as big as you dare to tackle. Then a fun dash all the way back to camp.. We certainly hiked and biked a few miles. Plenty of hiking with the bike on my back..

Heard the Contour Cam is also good as it has software you can download to your phone which can be used as a GPS, for tracking and speed monitoring, also have a mate in Sydney that uses the same one as your brother and he swears by it.

I use strava on my phone but it's a pain putting the phone in and out my bag all the time. I'm liking the idea of a GPS that just clips to the handle bars or wrist and easy to access.. But I have to get myself a helmet cam soon..that's a must..

I'm used to walking up.. There was one mountain there with a 4wd track to they're top but one of us would have to walk up and get the car.. So we just hiked everywhere.. Need the leg strengthening and stamina anyway.. Haha

I have mates that use them on their RC cars and boats, they work really well from what I hear

The one I use on my boat works well. I was talking to the guy in the shop about Speedometers and he says the gps is great cause you just clip on and go. You can upload all the data to the pc and graph rides etc. my brother uses one on his road bike, he says they're great.

Totally agree on both points, hangin' to watch your track in its full glory

We built a couple of berms last week. They just need a little more dirt thrown over to finish them off.

Thats one huge push run, no shuttle buses to the top of that one

Smokin' how fast do you reckon you were going,

No idea.. It always feels fast.. Haha.. At a guess maybe up to 50k/ph.. We only had a couple of runs on that. 1st run was plenty of brakes, 2nd run was a lot less brakes. I'm looking at getting a gps so i can log times and speed
