Lopes' time already got beat by 1 sec. Very clean lines top to bottom. I really like how smooth you were through the chicane at the top. Every time I try that line it shoots me out into the weeds on the left. I'm stuck at 1:27. What bike do you ride?

That's a tough section for sure. Had to practice that a lot. I'm on a 2010 Specialized Enduro... But I just ordered a Norco Range. Hopefully times will improve.

Woah! Is the Norco Range a 650b bike? If so, there's a whole slew of new good looking 650b bikes and that norco looks the business. When do you get it? It will be interesting to get perspective on bigger tired bike from someone fast, not just the 29'r climber xc guys!

Did you get the range yet?

No, it was going to take a while, so I tested out some other bikes and really dug the Pivot Firebird. It's on its way. Should have it next week. 26" wheels. 180mm travel.

holy cow, you're lynx go pro on the firebird is crazy. Diggin' your line on the right at the bottom rock drop section. I'll have to put that one to good use. Sorry for poachin your lines, you're mega fast for sure. Your 5oaks 1:20 go pro helped me a ton with the chicane skip line at the top, but still haven't been able to put a clean run together, the dirt is changing for the worse and I'm always blowing a turn. The good news is I've been 4 seconds ahead of my 1:27. How was the 180mm fork on the firebird? Did you run a 180 on the enduro? I've got a 6.5" foes fxr but am running a 160mm fox van fork and have been contemplating an upgrade.

The 180mm on the bird felt so nice. I can't wait to get mine. As far as what I'm riding now... My Enduro has a 160mm Lyrik. It's been a good fork. Pretty lite for AM use. Is the Vanilla coil sprung or air? Definitely glad the videos helped. You're not poachin, that's just racin. We're all looking for the fast way down .I just saw a new line on rock-it from a friends video. That should shave a few seconds off.

Put the new lines to use yesterday, bullied a sloppy 1:25 PR on oaks. The trail, and dirt in general, is kind of hammered right now. The little bit of rain last night could help. After oaks, on to lynx and the bottom section was good. Took four seconds off for a 1:31 PR, good day.

The fox van is 160mm coil sprung. I really like it and really never contemplated going for more travel until your comments. With the fxr and curnutt shock, it seems like I'm always trying to find more HS comp plushness, hence the 180mm air fork interest. Maybe looking at x-fusion vengeance air. Who knows

Nice work. It's really hard to take seconds off when you're already going real fast. You'll have Lopes in your sights in no time.
