Admittedly Konas aren't great bikes, but usually they're pretty good value for money (in the UK anyway) and can take a fair amount of abuse - such as landing that drop (if you're smooth enough anyway).
For the record, the following have been won on a Kona:
- World Champs DH (Male/Female)
- Crankworx
Which are some of the most prestigious mountain biking competitions on the planet... so suck it.
