They found a bomb while digging.
They wanted to know if the Italian guys called the police already and if/when the police´ll arrive at the scene.
They found out that the Italian guys hadn´t called to police so far.
They´re fine with this as they want to ride and film (which would be impossible when the police arrives and cordons off the whole area).
They made an agreement: They´ll film today, and call the police tomorrow.
