Trailforks Tutorial - Hiding a Trail
These trails are completely hidden from the public, only local region admins can view them. Ridelogs that take place on them are automatically hidden and cannot be made public. Region admins are still able to view user stats on these trails.

Could anybody tell me how the password works to let others preview a hidden trail?
I'm the local admin and I have a few hidden trails in my region. I wish to make them visible to people who work on them.
I'm able to add password in trail edit screen to the last field named: "Password: If the trail is unpublished or hidden, you can optionally specify a password to let others preview the trail." But I have no idea how a user will use this password to preview that trail.
