My oldest daughter Amelia had belt testing for Taekwondo. She has her red belt now and will be receiving her apprentice belt. She was one of 3 kids that broke the board first try!

Great job! We've had Jonah in TKD for awhile now. We started early specifically to make sure he had a nice foundation for confidence etc. He doesn't always love to do it but it's been great for him.

Thank you! It's worked wonders for Amelia. I'd most definitely recommend any type of martial arts for kids.

Thanks Niko! I was honestly really proud, she, at only 10 years old, is already starting to feel pressures of acceptance in school and she doesn't fit in with the "normal girls" in her middle school. That's crazy to me at this early of a an age it's beginning. Taekwando has really boosted her self confidence more than I ever could have hoped for. It was a special moment for sure.

Thats awesome greatly! For our kids to fit in, is very important to them. I know she will succeeded greatly with the confidence she has earned learning and accepting Taikwando into he life! Tell her there is no such thing as normal girls and what she is doing is spot on! My daughter took Karate for 5 years but one day told me she wanted to quit and I could see it wasn't for her, but the laws of life and the balance it make for is something she will have forever. Since then, my son too has now quit but has started rugby which seems to be more suiting for him too. I think the problem with the Karate place we were going to was they focused on tournaments a little too much, but I have raised my kids to just have fun and enjoy everything. Well they didn't like getting punched in the head and ribs, hahahahah Its totally rad to see Amelia bust that board, she must have been super happy! Good stuff brother, I want to see more!

@nikoniko: Thank you for the kind words Niko! They are very heartfelt and I really appreciate them. She's tried many sports and we (my ex wife and I) try to support her trying new things. This has been the one that she has stuck with the most and her hard work has been paying off. She was awarded her apprentice belt! That's damn near a black belt for Christ Sake! She's also just been asked to join their competition and demo team. She'll get to travel to public events to put on shows. I'll definitely post more videos. I've never been one to break out the phone and film this kinda stuff but the more I watch the video the more excited I get.
