It was the second time we did that trail. I have a video of our first ride there in 2014, www.pinkbike.com/video/380615
That was also when we got the voucher, which was valid for three years, so we had to make use of it in 2017. We wanted the outdoor enterprise to do some guided rock climbing for us, but they said they needed two more people to make it pay. Instead they offered us two brand-new pedal assist full-suspension mountain bikes for a whole day. Would have preferred rock climbing though!

Thank you for the link, I remember this from last time. There are certain images that your mind doesn't forget. Oh thats funny, you went to go climbing but ended up riding, I think that still good!
Yes, when your expectations are put down there is a sinking feeling that just doesn't repair. So, I set very little expectation for myself and find myself loving everything in a sense of course!

Power assisted riding feels a bit strange if you're not used to it. I remembered what the uphill to the castle felt like on an ordinary hardtail, so I could compare very well. With the electric full-suspension Haibike it was just like a joke to be climbing up that steep hill. Birgit and I had those bikes für a whole day and it was very hot weather in Germany, 35 degrees, so the assistance was a blessing. We decided against buying any bikes like that, however, as long as we have enough strength ourselves.
