great job but i just wander how long will this paint last for!! maybe couple of days cuz its gonna chip right off on first rock.
  • + 1
Thats why you use a million coats of clear.
  • + 0
4-5 days?! Dont you have to wait 3 days for the paint to cure and another 3 for the clearcoat?
  • + 1
lol lol sorry but i just love how norco5 got owned by a few people. nice job on the riot dont let pricks like that say otherwise do your own thing and tell them "haters" to mind there own business. just roll with your ideas and f*ck what others think. when it comes to bikes its all down to personal preference so other people should get over themselves and stop being jealous of other peoples ideas just because they didnt come up with it first.

againg nice job on the riot. Big Grin

nice job man, it looks so sick! when you sprayed the weels, did you keep the tyres on for a reason?
  • + 2
well yeah i dident wanna scratch the hoop with tire levers when i put it back on so i just masked around the works.
  • + 2
oh and plus i can lay it down to paint cause its on the tire and not the rim itself, just makes it alot easyer i think.
  • + 2
ahh, okay, suppose it makes sence.

wow that turned out really nice for just spraypainting it
  • + 1
haha yeah just takes time and pacientces i guess, but yeah if anyone just tried there best and concentrated on it then they could do this easily haha. i mostly had to paint in the rain and it still turned out decent, but ya thanks man for the compliment

When painting the rims why didnt you just take off the tire
  • + 2
oh yeah someone asked me that up top haha i could of yes, but i didn't wanna scratch the hoop with tire levers when i put it back on so i just masked around the works. and i can lay it down to paint cause its on the tire then, and not the rim itself, just makes it alot easier i think.
  • + 1
 does it scratch easy?
  • + 1
well not that easy but i mean if i'am applying alot of pressure with a tire leaver then yeah it could possibly scratch haha, depends really i guess.. but yeah its a pretty durable finish.

just take the tyres off lol
  • + 1
i had no where to lay my rims so i keep tires on thats the only reason why. so that way i can just lay the side of the tire up against a wall for it to dry.

  • + 1
ya it shows me sanding it
  • - 1
Did you sand it until it's completely bare or just you get all of the area scratched up?
  • + 3
i just sand until the area was a dull color, no need to raw it or anything just a few light rubs is all.
  • + 1
all u really need to do is get rid of the clear coat and make it smooth i wouldnt wanna raw either id like too but itd take forever
