First comment on this one Wink
So didn't find any solution so far in comments or elsewhere.
Situation is, I have a ready-2-go gps-route loaded into trailforks and want to edit this route by 'easy' deleting parts of the route ( i.e. the beginning of a route with an ascent done by cablecar or train ) or rerouting it due to personal wishes.
I only see the way to 'rebuild' the whole route...as work-around. Any ideas on your side? best Nils

There is a way to edit it without rebuilding it, just click on the "Edit points", then you can click on each point and either delete it or reroute it anywhere on the route. However, it would be nice to actually be able to select multiple points in a section and delete them without having to click on every single point you want to eliminate. I.e. if you just want to omit a section of a route, you have to actually click on every single dot and manually delete each one. Would be more efficient if you could drag along the line and delete it.

I have TrailforksPro subscription. So I've been trying to create a route based on the instructions above by Canadaka but it is NOT working like shown. I can add the points (blue dot) on the map but nothing gets highlighted in Yellow like on the demo? None of the trails are being added on the right side? SInce I haven't changed the mode - it is supposed to be on auto-select... right?

What am I missing?

We are having issues with the auto-routing right now, we are working to fix it this week. You can still use the draw or selecting methods.

@canadaka: Ok. thx for the reply. I'll circle around again in a couple weeks to see if its working

The Route Planning is very complicated and frustrating!! Does not need to be that way. It keeps adding sections of trail I do not want to include and then, I am unable to delete them. All I'd like to do is freehand draw my trail without having sections added for me that I do not want. Is it possible to do this?

Yes, this is one of the only route planners that has a free-hand draw mode. It's mentioned in the video and the instructions on the route planner page. Click to add the first point "blue dot", then click and drag that blue dot.

This isn't really related but i was wondering if there will be a way to filter videos by location on pinkbike in the future. I feel like this is a needed feature because there is already one for photos which makes it so much easier to see photos in my area but if i want to see someone riding it i have to type in the location and hope that the person who uploaded the video put the location somewhere in the video or else i won't be able to find it.

Oh for the love of god. I just spent 1 hour making a 20km trail and clicked map mode, Then view trail to get a description of one. It loaded a new page and wiped my entire route....

Made it so all links on the route planner page open in a new tab to prevent this.

This doesn't work like the demo and hasn't for at least six months.

dragging the whole way then clicking a single point on the end the route goes sideways snapping through no trail to get to the fire road.

The route planner is not working. It will only create straight lines between points.

Is the route planner broken right now? I can't create routes for Nordic skiing. See www.pinkbike.com/forum/reply/?commentid=7174704
