Those jump lips are well made and which gives you confidence which can bit as a poor chap stuffed it on one of the bigger last jumps . He was wrapped in a heat blanket waiting for an ambulance !

I’ve heard and read about a lot of accidents on trails like these. It looks fun but there’s a downside to injuries if you crash, I’m sure as you learned yourself. My balls are too small to ride this discipline, although I can ride fast on my road bike and crashing can be as bad as riding trails.
I hope your friend recovers ASAP. Only 3 months of summer left, so it’s best to enjoy the good weather while it lasts.
