Sketchy Race-run at Northstar on Gypsy
I sent the paver berm right into the bushes! Despite many mistakes throughout my run I was still stoked to come out with a solid 3:20 in Expert 17 and under.

how bad did u run into the bushes? u probably lost speed for the stepdown too im guessing

Well I got bucked at the finish line right after the paved berm where the two orange cones are sitting and I ran off the trail and started heading down the mountain into fat bushes. Luckily the stepdown wasn't even in the race so running into the bushes didn't effect my time at all but it was still super sketchy.

oh thats good to hear, at least u didnt screw up ur run. i think they should put the stepodown into the race, it would be a good way to finish it off

Yea but that stepdown is waay too easy to clear even at coasting speed so imagine people trying to hit it at race speed. People would get hurt.

yea thats true i guess. would be cool for the crowd though, just whipping the crap out of it as u cross the finish line...

The crowd got an even better show because the racers knew they were done so they whipped and showed off even more because they knew that it wouldn't effect their time if they screwed up. It's a win-win situation.

Oh yea I was at Annadale State Park riding cross country with Bo and Raph. I was gone for the whole day.

Riding loose trails is super fun though and Northstar is loose everywhere, what trail in Tahoe isn't super loose???????? None
that was hella smooth. so much better than i could do. haha
